The “Click Here” is not working.

I think a successful forum should be self-sustaining, at least - both monetary and memberwise.

If people find reasons to be on the forum - it’s successful. If I *want* to check the forum to see what’s been going on - excited about what people are doing - it’s successful.

That’s how i judge a forum. Not based on a set of guidelines but rather on personal thoughts and opinions on the board.

Hm, the question is rather objective. How do we define “good”. A successful forum? A successful forum may not be big, a big forum may not be successful. But maybe that’s what the question asked. Well, I’d say everything in moderation. Not too many staff, or you’ll be too authoritarian, but not too few to leave you open to attack. Not too much general chat, but enough to have fun. Really I don’t think that you or I as an admin can gauge what a “good” forum is, you need to know what the members think. If your members think your forum is “good” then it is a good forum, if they dislike it, then you’re clearly doing something wrong. So yeah, to sum up, everything in moderation. Happy members=happy forum…
